I wouldn’t say that Nature is my adversary. More like my frenemy. Is that still a thing?
I love to look at Nature and I am grateful for this giant awesome planet. I may not particularly want Nature or her representatives to touch me, but I do totally want to hang out and have a drink.
If I’m being honest, though, I do have a bit of a beef with Nature, given the inherited genetic mutation that caused my cancer and the chemical imbalance that causes my anxiety.
From 2018-2020, my partner and I traveled full-time around the country. For me, it was both a celebration of Nature and and a way to say, take that, girlfriend. I’m still here, adventuring.
I mean, not like, sky-diving. Let’s not get crazy. Think, little adventures. Kayaking. Biking. Eating seafood in Ohio. Running half-marathons with my big ol’ 200 pound body. That type of thing.
Since 2020, we’ve been sidelined. Nature took this round. And we’re down but not out.
Teammates:
- Josh – my partner in life and in crime. Has survived more than one episode of my terrible decision-makings skills regarding bangs.
- Petey – a tiny plastic horse that has traveled with us around the world. Originally the brainchild of my sisters, I’m the dork that gave him a Instagram account.
- Roberta – the RV where we used to live.
- Larry – our truck. I like to name things.
Hope you enjoy hanging out with us.
